The dynamic European culture, defined by constant transformations, is crystalized and remodelled through the myriad interactions between people who shape their identity in continuous reference to the Other and by using a rhetoric of integration within the frame of the intercultural context.
The Cross-Border Faculty of the „Dunărea de Jos” University is a higher education institution, which, throughout its history, has always been keen on establishing cultural relations with universities from the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. The partners from the State University of Comrat, Republic of Moldova, and from the State University of Humanities, Izmail, Ukraine, have also shown their interest in developing an extensive cooperation in research, as well as in pedagogical experience exchanges, thus expressing their intention to support the creation of academic contexts focused on intercultural communication, and other associated fields.
Consequently, the Cross-Border Faculty of the „Dunărea de Jos” University, in partnership with the State University of Comrat, Republic of Moldova, and with the State University of Humanities, Izmail, Ukraine, organizes, during 22 – 23 November 2019, the International Conference Linguistic Identity and Intercultural Communication in European Context.
